CC2591 2.4-GHz RF Front End
CC2591 is a cost-effective and high performance RF Front End for low-power and low-voltage 2.4-GHz wireless applications.

CC2591 is a range extender for all existing and future 2.4-GHz low-power RF transceivers, transmitters and System-on-Chip products from Texas Instruments.

CC2591 increases the link budget by providing a power amplifier for increased output power, and an LNA with low noise figure for improved receiver sensitivity.

CC2591 provides a small size, high output power RF design with its 4x4-mm QFN-16 package.
CC2591 contains PA, LNA, switches, RF-matching, and balun for simple design of high performance wireless applications.

The CC2591EM can be used as an add-on to your existing 2.4 GHz system to increase output power to +20 dBm and improve receiver sensitivity up to 6 dB. A 50 ohm coax cable with SMA connectors should be used to connect the RF signal from the radio to the input of CC2591EM, and the antenna (included) should be connected to the output (see the CC2591EMK Quick Start Guide for instruction). The kit requires that you already have another complete 2.4 GHz development kit or RF board.)

The CC2591 RF Front End includes PA, LNA, switches, balun, RF matching network and inductor, and will increase output power and improve receiver sensitivity on a 2.4 GHz low-power RF solution (see the CC2591 web folder). The CC2430 is an IEEE 802.15.4 compliant System-on-Chip with radio, MCU and Flash (see the CC2430 web folder).
The CC2430-CC2591EMK consists of two CC2430-CC2591EM Evaluation Modules. These modules can be used together with a SmartRF®04 Evaluation Board to evaluate the chip, do RF testing and for prototyping. Also the output power can be increased to around +20dBm, and sensitivity will be improved by up to 6 dB compared with the CC2430 stand alone evaluation module.

The CC2430-CC2591EMK should be used together with a SmartRF04EB Evaluation Board, which is included in the CC2430DK Development Kit
